Make Peace With Stones & Rocks

If your garden resembles a stony gulch more closely than a well tended bed, don't fight it, plant it. Instead of investing back breaking hours sifting out rocks, make sure the drainage on your slope is good and cover it with alpines and succulents. These hardy plant families thrive in harsh enviroments. They include many easy care plants with exotic names, like hen and chicks and living rocks. Far from being boring or desolate, your wildly original bed may soon become the focal point of the neighborhood.
